The Assumption Church in Haczów
The Assumption and St. Michael Archangel’s Church in Haczów was built at the end of 14th century. It is the largest and the oldest wooden church with log construction in Poland. The church is also one of the most important objects of the Wooden Architecture Route in the Podkarpacie region. The church interior is decorated with figure polychrome from 1494, which most probably is the oldest polychrome of that type in Europe. Precious Baroque altar from 17th century, Gothic paintings, painted consecration crucifixes dating back to 15th century and a stone baptismal font from 16th century can also be admired inside the church. The church is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
